Step. 2 - Open First AVI file
Find the first AVI file, select it and then click Open. You will now see it open in VirtualDUB. If the program says it's unable to locate a decompressor, then you will have to find the appropriate codec at AfterDawn. I recommend you install FFDShow.
I have

DefilerPak 1.22
installed which includes:
Quote:
ffdshow: Rapidly making codec packs obsolete. Plays almost everything.
Haali Media filter: Supports the Matroska, MP4, and OGM A/V container formats.
VSFilter: Supports a wide variety of subtitle formats.
DivX ;-) Audio: Just in case.
AC3 XForm filter: Makes life a little easier for folks with external Dolby Digital decoders.
HDTVPump: Support for HD/ATSC transport streams.
I am Simply trying to join 2 .avi (XVID) files together into 1 seamless file in order to upload onto ConvertXToDVD and put on a disc with 1 menu title. What am I missing? Do I have to secect a something as a preference or something? Is there a simpler/better program to use? The files are quite large each (720mb each) as they have been obiously split by the user that uploaded them as a torrent on a torrent site. PLEASE HELP WITH THE DECOMPRESSOR ISSUE OR ANY SUGESTIONS TO SIMPLER PROGRAMS USED TO JOIN LARGER XVID FILES INTO 1 FILE...THANK YOU ALL IN ADVANCE

Never heard of DefilerPak. My suggestion is to get rid of that pack because it's probably colliding with FFDshow that you downloaded seperatly. If that don't work, try uninstalling FFDshow and reinstall FFDshow again this time without DefilerPak.
