I've got a very dark colored car, which tends to get pretty hot if its parked in the sun in summer. I was wondering if there's any danger to CDs if I leave them inside, or if it would make a difference if they were kept in a storage case, or in the glove compartment.

Thanks

I always store mine somewhere out of direct light as the sun can melt damn near anything under the right circumstances. Some kind of case is always good for organizational purposes but definitely store it out of sight. Less heat that way, and nobody will see that case and decide to rip you off.

I've learnt my lesson with CD's in cars (originals getting wrecked/scratched beyond recognition, copies showing bubbling at the edges due to heat and car broken into)

I have a wallet i use with 100 cd's in it and if i leave the car, it leaves the car.

if you feel you need to leave it in the car, put it in the glove box.

saw a program recently about black cars and white cars - they tested them in sunlight all day and the black car only got a few degrees hotter than the white car.
