hi ive just recently tried sum of my older burnt games which a friend made for me

but no luck

it seems that only the games i burnt still work

and i was wondering what is the reason for this and is there anyway to recover the games that dont work so that i can still play them???

I believe that he was using ridata dvd-r.

You could try to copy it to your hd with Decrypter, if it's an ISO file. Otherwise, you could try using Nero.

my only suggestion is to use your copy program and copy your friends disc onto one of the DVD's that you use and know works. It could just be that your PS2 doesn't like the discs he used.
