I am trying to make a back up of the game Black and every time the disk won't boot. I am using DVDDecrypter. I read it with that and then write with that. I have never had a problem till this game. Whats the deal. Is there something special for this game. It is an EA game, which I never made a back up of an EA Game before. Thanks

Forgot to say that when I go to copy the game. DVDDecrypter says unknown for the label. But it still copies it. I am burning at 4 times speed. I am also using memorex DVDs.

I'm trying to copy this and it fails at the read stage using both Decrypter and Alcohol. Can;t uinderstand why if other people are managing to rip it.
I've tried reading at the slowest possible speed but no luck. I'm starting to think it might be the disc. It is a used copy.

I wasn't lucky either, I got to the boot stage, and it booted but stuttered and froze :(, gave up on it.

I copied this game and first time it didn't work on the ps2....I then burnt it at 1x on to a reasonable quality disc and no problems, I think the trick was to burn as slow as poss'. Good luck

I can't even manage to read the original disc using DVD Decrypter or Alcohol 120%. Comes up with an I/O error.

The problem is that my PC won't read the original PS2 disc. I've tried it at the slowest speed as well.

Right, this problem is usually a blank area on the source disc, On DVD Decrypter go to options > on i/o tab make sure you checkmark "ignore read errors" and set the software read error retries to as low as poss' ( 2 ) it will take a lot longer but should work.

Well I can't see offhand what the problem is....Your' running FAT 32 which is not able to make a file over 4 gig BUT that shouldn't make any diff' here.....All I can suggest is that you check your device manager: START > CONTROL PANEL > SYSTEM > HARDWARE > DEVICE MANAGER >
IDE ATA/ATAPI CONTROLLERS SECONDARY IDE CHANNEL, go toadvance settings, your DVD burner should be device O. In that box change ( if needed ) the transfer mode to PIO mode only. I dont think this will be the answer- as you have already burnt games before- but check it out anyway. What I can say is that BLACK copied fine with me and the error is a read error and I think it is from the source disc, which would mean it is the disc which is faulty....if you live in UK I have a copy which I could send on if you wish.
