I have recently purchased games such as rugby 06 and, v8 supercars 3 and black. After backing up these games using alcohol 120 and high quality discs, they will not play. Games I have previously backed up still play but these new titles do not. It comes up with please insert a ps2 disc or wateva. I've done all the standard trouble shooting techniques but still nothing. I was wondering if there is a new copy protection or something or do I need a patch for alcohol 120.

how are you booting them?
What media are you using (brand,speed, +R or -R)
What speed are you burning them at?

There is no new protection on discs, nothing has changed. But Swap Magic users may have to patch or rebuild some games to get them working.
