Next week theres going to be a sale on Sony dvd-r. I was wondering is the Sonys work as good as maxells. Because I think that a 50 pack for $15 is a good deal. Ive read that sonys are like first class media but ive never heard anyone say if theyre actually as good as Verbatims and Maxells. I know that mini sony dvd-r dont work good. So are the regular dvd-r the same?

i know very few people who use them. The one's that i have seen post say to only get them if they are made in Japan.
Now $15 for a 50 pack is a great deal. So even if they do not work for games you could always back up movies on them.
I just got the brand i like, Philips 8X DVD-R, at Circuit City for
$5.99 for each 25 pack. They are not listed as being great on the media guides but after 2yrs of using them with nothing but success, i really can't say a bad thing about them. I do Xbox, PS2, and movies on them and never have a problem.
