Hi guys, this my first post.
Anyway, think u all heard enough of all the burning probs..well here's another...Hope someone can help.

Anyway, i have this old PS2 model SCPH-30001 USA model i think NTSC one...which has a modchip...I forgot wat chip is it....Messiah 2 maybe...It's so long..
Anyway, I can play burned PS2 dvds w/o Swap Magic(I never heard of this stuff...only know of this recently). I can play these games directly.

Well, I normally get my burned games from shops..well around...Well only recently i found out about burning PS2 dvds that I decided to try it out..
I looked thru all the forums everywhere, DVD decrypter, alcohol, nero but none worked.

What I'm trying to do is to burn a burned Ps2 dvd.... So Since it's already playable, i should be able to just copy an Iso using dvd decrypter then burn it using nero or alcohol right????
(Still with me...??

I tried DVD+-RW and DVD R Verbatim datalifeplus DVDS 4x but none worked. I only get this disc read error problem.. Well my burner is a recently bought BenQ EW164B with firmware BEGB and it doesn't allow me to book type DVD- Rs or RWs to DVD-ROMS type.....Even when i book type a DVD+RW to DVD-Rom...it still got this disc error...It doesn't work....

I tried for a few days already and none worked...I'm out of ideas already..Anyone has any advice or suggestions? WIll greatly appreciate any help. Thanks

P.S: (I'm still trying to dl game rar files from bit torrent so i dunno tt method work or not yet. I have some original games too but i havent try yet. The thing is i just wan to burn a copy of a burned copy...Erghhh..it's suppose to work right???? Wat did i do wrong)

Regards,

a disc that is already copied should be no problem to back up. Sionce you have a chip then no patching or rebuilding is needed unless you want the online functions. Then you would have to patch each copy you made.
I would both read the disc and burn the disc with DVD Decrypter

a few other suggestions:
1. use an 8X DVD-R good quality DVD, DVD RW discs rarely every work, and booktyping is only for DVD+R media.
2. make sure nothing else on the computer is running that can interupt the burn process, like anti-virus software. and do not use the PC at all when burning.
3. just in case check the web for firmware updates, just because it is new to you doesn't mean that the firmware is up to date. When i bought my Sony DRU-700A i had to update the firmware right away.
