Okay, in my house, there are two computers;this one(mine) and my dads.
My dad had a BT 205 ADSL router connected to it, and a buffalo airstation.
I recieve my internet connection from his computer, through a buffalo
pci network card in my computer. Now, i presume i get my interent
connection through the buffalo airstation, as when this is turned
off, i receive no internet connection.

Now, when i try to download torrents, i get the message to do with the
router or firewall blocking the connection, with a small red ciricle,
in utorrent. Now, when i enter '192.168.11.1' into the address bar, i
get the configuration for the buffalo airstation. I opened the port utorrent
was using in this configuration menu. I also opened the ports on my firewall.
Because of this, the red circle turned to yellow(yay). I now get the message
your router/firewall may be limiting the network traffic.

When i enter '192.168.1.1' into my address bar, i get the configuration for
the bt router. should i configure the port utorrent is using so that it is
open in the bt router, or should i open more ports on the buffalo airstation?

Please help, thanks...

Hi
Check out www.portforward.com on how to forward ports for your specific router plus check the your software firewall has the port open too. For utorrent you only need to forward 1 port i use 51000 make sure you do this for tcp and udp
