What a shame, at first I thought it was going to be released at the same time as the PS3. But now PS3 is being schedule for a November release and we might have to wait one year from now to enjoy next-gen Halo action.
well at the begining of this mounth i read on ign that, bungie had only just choose whcih engine they would use about three mounths ago, so obviously they would not have made it ready for ps3 launch. also think of it this way, if it does come out next year this time then the game really would'nt be rushed and the graphics would be like nothing we would have seen before maybe even on par with like killzone 2.
First off it is completely rediculous how much faith is put into third parties for their Bungie gossip. If Bungie had something to say about the next project they would have said something already! Who would you believe first, Bungie or IGN? No Brainer! And second off, Bungie is using the same pohysics engine they used all along. Maybe if any of you n00bs bothered to check every inch of Bungie, you would find commentary on the up and running game levels they have already tested. Sounds like they have an engine to me!
go ahead and call it halo 2 but from people that i have talked to that work for ms are saying there is a working beta they are working off of but it won't be called halo 2 but it will take place in the halo 2 universe
There is some truth to what he is saying. From I have gathered from interviews and obscure Bungie.net posting, the next title will most likely be a backstory on the Covenant. Yes you will be able to play as Chief, and some others....about 6 diff characters. Most likely you will play thru Covie history and a few battle chapters with humanaity ( pre-halo 1). Although this is all just speculation till we hear or see anything from Bungie!
i can actually see them doing that b/c that way after this so called pre halo game they can make another one on after halo 2 therefore making more money. and seeing as M$ owns bungie this would be perfect as even further down the line they will still have halo as a weapon even after the movie and third installment.
