I get this folder with a little /!\ thing and its pissing me off..
cuz besides that iam listening to music it freezes and then it wont play any music...its gotten to the point were it wont play the music it will skip to the next song and the next and the next, as if looking for playable music. WHICH IT DOESNT HAVE! but yea... help

The exclamation point could mean a few things. One may be a broken hardrive but your iPod seems to work sometimes so that may not be the case. I'd suggest restoring the firmware [if you deleted your copy you can find it at Apple's website]

Yeah, if you have the 5g Video iPod then I would suggest upgrading to v1.1.1 firmware. There has been no reported problems yet.

I have the 40GB Black and White Ipod....and i dont know what a firmware is....all i know is that my iTunes has been saying it needs an Update and everytime ive treid to ive failed misebrly even with the iPod Updator

So if you can explain to me what a Firmware is or if a Reformat would help then yea.

The iPod's problem is getting a little more serious it sounds like the same thing that happen to my laptoms hard drive is about to happen to my iPod. My laptop was purring littirely, and then it just crashed and i got it checked they said the HDD was useless. So now my iPod isnt purring its Meowing cuz of its size....

Only one good thing about this whole situation. I bought the Best Buy insurance when i purchased my iPod...so its covered.

I set up this forum to save time and the effort of having to walk a few blocks. But that just might not happen.
