Hi, I've successfully backed up two of my DVD's (God Of War & Medal Of Honour) Using Arita DVD -R discs... I have read that the Taiyo Yuden dyed discs are better for the PS2's laser. Where in the UK can I buy these discs from? Any good/bad experiences from suppliers?

TIA
Steve

Hey I used www.SVP.co.uk the last time I bought Verbatims with Taiyo dye TYG02.

I think people have had better success with the 8X rather than the 16X

You can get a pack of 100 of Taiyo Yuden's Unbranded 8X for £30

I think they are out of stock of the Verb's with the TYg02 dye.

I'm not sure if £30 is expensive for 100 TY's Sites like www.supermediastore.com sell 100 Taiyos for about $40. Wish the shipping wasnt so expensive there :(

Ok so if I can't finfd Verbatim's with the dye on their site what about actual branded "Taiyo Yuden" discs... e.g "Taiyo Yuden (8x) Full-Face Printables DVD-R" is this the same thing?? I don't really wanna buy a spindle of coasters if I can help it :/

Cheers

3dluis, does your dvd drive support DVD-R's, why do you want DVD+R's?
I use +R's coz my PC drive only supports DVD+R/RW. And my model PS2 is SCPH-30003 R. My PC model is HP pavilion +340.uk, shall i replace this DVD drive that supports only DVD+R/RW. as i've been looking for one that supports all formats of dvd including DVD-R and is made by HP so i can replace this one with a good one that is the exact same size.
