I am buying this monitor;
http://www.microdirect.co.uk/ProductInfo.aspx?ProductID=12379&sou...
It is supposed to have both VGA and Component inputs on the back, I have neither the XBOX 360 Component cable : http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000AYYADO/qid=114391034...
or the XBOX 360 VGA Cable :
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000F0CN9G/qid=114391034...
I'm not bothered about price.

My question is; Which of the two will produce a better quality image?

Peace

The VGA can do everything the conponent cable can do and a bit more(mainly it supports more resolutions. Since your new screen is more like a PC monitor than a TV and has a very strange maximum resolution of 1440x900 I suggest you buy the VGA.

You are reading a mindless signature, please stop reading it now it is mindless, one can only presume you are mindless since you are still reading this mindless signature, Oh my god get a life you mindless person, whats the matter with you, dont you have a girlfreind? mindless mindless mindless

Thanks, but I have another question. I Havent bought that other screen just yet. For use with the XBOX 360, would it be better if i bought the screen from the post i made before, or if i bought this one;
http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?action=c2hvd19...
Which has a more normal resolution of 1280 x 1024?

Oh yeah, and what does it mean by '24-bit (16.7 million colours)' is that good for a gaming monitor or not? I saw it had response time of 4ms which is pretty good since I want to play fps games like Halo 2 and Perfect dark Zero.

All I want is a monitor with a fast response time that will have no squashing of the picture and will look better than my 15 year old Sony Trinitron CRT TV. Lol

Thanx Icarbutt

Peace

All this means is the T.V/monitor can change the pixels into 16.7 million colors or shades of colors.

This T.V/monitor wiil be very good for gaming as a 4ms reponse/refresh time is the fastest out for an LCD, even an 8ms refresh/response time is good for games like FPS such as Halo 2 and Perfect Dark Zero and yes this will be much better than your 15 year old Sony Triniton CRT.
Hope this helps!

It's Here!!!

Yeah thanks, it does help. Sorry for asking so many questions, but I was told the Xbox 360 automatically outputted at widescreen, and this is obviously not a widescreen monitor, therefore will it be squashed if I put it on this monitor or is there a setting to change so it isn't?

so if u bought

http://www.microdirect.co.uk/ProductInfo.aspx?ProductID=12379&sou...

would this display high defintion output as its a HDready monitor???

if its hd ready, why does it not have any hd input?

are there any more monitors like this same size but better?

thanks

hate to say. but CRT's response times are far far less than 1ms.
the reason: cathode rays are beams of electrons.

i do advanced level physics, trust me i should know. (and i know lots about tech etc.)

but a 4ms LCD is very good. all you want now is to make sure it has a good brightness and contrast ratio. (definately progressive scan, and HD-ready, plus dont forget the HDMI)

Don't judge the consoles by specs, more isnt always better, espec in PS3 specs.i know the truth, ask if u wanna know.......

Do not compete without valid correct technicality on your terms of the argument.
