I am using Imtoo platnum dvd ripper version 4.0.37 to put my dvd movies on my 30gb ipod video. However, after i rip the movie into mp4 format and place it into my itunes, itunes makes me convert it again. I dont understand why i have to convert the file if it is already in mp4 format? Also, the video size is standard at 320x240, so it should work? I ripped a smaller track off of the same dvd and it inserted into itunes without a problem (didnt need to convert it). I dont understand why it is making me convert the full movie file? Do i need to update my Imtoo program?

You need to rip your dvds to MP4 file first (320x240 is OK), drag the mp4 file to iTunes (Need not convert at all), and then sync to your iPod.
