Hi. I'm just wondering if anyone else got this email:

Subject: We Apologize for this but. . .
Unfortunantly, we have been shutdown by the RIAA. We made every attempt to
destroy the data in our user base, but we were unable to do so in time, and
were only able to erase about 18%.
They have informed us those that co-operate will recieve generous
settlement terms.
We suggest since there is a high likelihood of your info being in their
hands, (82% chance), that you delete as much as you can before they issue a
warrant for your hard drives.
It's been fun, and we'll see you elsewhere on the net.
Is this a hoax? Anyone know anything?

Torrentleech DOES NOT email its members, UNLESS it is for a forgotten pssword.
So unless you requested a password, its FAKE.

It was sent by the admin.. it's a genuine email, but the shutdown is an april fools' joke.

At least the spammers bothered to send you one :(
Although I did receive an email about a week ago asking me to suspend my account from torrentleech and join some site called merc-tech, I checked it out on torrentleech's forums and seemingly a member of admin left them and did a runner with a copy of there database. :o

Wow; after some of the scares that I've had, that would scare the jeepers out of me. I had some sort of hijack issue with stealthy software that was inadvertantly using my connection to share programs with other individuals. It scared the pants off me.
My ISP contacted me and told me to cease and decist; I found the flaw and killed it. Grrr. Scary stuff mates.
