Hey all

Hopefully somebody can advise me but like the transfer says, i am able to transfer some video files but not others. I have converted 2 different files both .avi's using ImTOO converter but only one of them transfers to the iPod.

Both files are TV programs (Lost and Laguna Beach). Laguna Beach converts to .Mp4 and transfers to the iPod where as Lost converts but doesn't seem to go to the iPod. Anybody know why or a way to fix this?

Can you get it into iTunes or no?

If it isn't going into iTunes, then shorten the file name and try adding it again. You can rename the file once it's in iTunes.

If the video is in your library and not going on your iPod, then make sure the video has the blue check next to it [incase you have only checked selections to update] and if that's not the case make sure you have your iPod options set to automatically update all videos, and not just a certain selection. [Edit -> Prefrences -> iPod -> Videos]

I don't think it has to do with the size of the name i.e. he said that one that wouldn't go in was named Lost (not long enough for this problem)

Hey all

The file name shouldn't be a problem. Lost is just down as LostS02E17 and the other was longer Laguna Beach S02E02 and it was Lost that was not adding.

iTunes loads and updates it just doesnt like adding that file. I've converted it a couple times and it doesn't seem to add to the Library.

You could always try shortening the file name. It isn't every file with a long name iTunes rejects, it's sort of choosey about it. I just can't think of anything else that would be causing the problem, if you're converting properly like you've said.

Well i've just converted an episode of Las Vegas and the last Episode of The Simpsons and both transfer onto the Libary. Finding it very strange that the last episode of Lost won't

Could you at least try to shorten the name. It's not like it takes much time. Just rename it to like LST or something really short and see what happens. It won't do any damage. ;-)

I've found it to be on a case by case basis, sometimes I'll try adding a video with a long title, and it doesn't work unless I shorten it, but other long titles add without a problem. I've found it to be not that important though because you can rename the file once it is in iTunes.
