hey guys i just backed up my ps2 msg3 subsistance and when i try running the screen turns black after the instert disc scree.
i'm using the 2.0 SM.
anyone knows what to do please let me know

In order to help, we're gonna need some more info, like what media you used, what burn speed, etc.

ok guys here is the info.

i use the Memorex 16X dvds (works with other backups fine)
burn speed selected was MAX using DVD decryptor (burn speed goes up n down when burning).
so could it be the 2.0 version of SM or does the game need some patching?

Memorex is notorious for very bad burns. Do not use this type of media. Read the "Games stuttering and skipping or just not booting at all?" thread link in my sig.
