I am looking for a good program which can check of viruses and not ruin you computer. >< My old virus software (AVG anti-viruse) suck sooooo badly. I can't say how much it sucks. Any suggestion on a better program? One i can trust, easy and fast to use? (i prefer free, but if there is a VERY good one i have to pay up for, i will do it)

Whats wrong with AVG free anyway ?? tell me that, when i make a remark on Nortons "Crappyness" i usualy back it up.

AVG free is great in my opinion.

Acually i wasnt useing AVG free. I had the payed for version. And one thing this "great" AV program did was delete a nesasary file that had to do with graphics. >< So, when i was playing my game/watching a movie/useing PQ dvd to put a movie onto my ipod/ the computer would turn off (not just freeze up, which confused the living h*ll out of me.Normally when something goes wronge it just freezes up because it doesnt know what to do with it's self) I dont know why it would do this,(i dont even know for sure that it was a graphics file) but it all started to happen after i did a AVG virsus check. It worked the night before, turned it on, did a virus check, tryed to play a game, it turned off with in 10secs of loading up the game. (with movies it would last about 30secs - 1min.) It works fine if it doesnt need to bring up anything with graphics. Word/aim/msn/firefox/the other explore that came with computer/etc.
I remeber comming back and something on the list what it fixxed had "WINDOWS" in to ><

The games i play and players i use are: winamp/real/warcarft 3/ world of warcraft/ PQ DVD for ipod converion.

Ok then, you've had a bad experience with it, its very unlikely that AVG would delete a crucial system file, the program is still great its just that you have had bad experiences with it...

If you can't take my word on that then look at reviews sites....

Stick with Avast if you wanna, its great too.
