MediaSentry question

I DLed a file from uTorrent and it seems MediaSentry has been pinging my machine ever since. Thankfully, I have PeerGuardian on to block them from getting the IP. However, I'm just wondering if those MediaSentry pings will time out eventually. Anyways, if the pings still occur, any suggestions to beef up my security? I was thinking about changing my static IP or just using a different port on my router. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
