Hi,
I posted a message in the "dvd±r for newbies"-section of this forum. They couldn't help me and told me you might. However the question is about a PC DVD, not a PS2.

I'm used to copying my DVD's just for back-up. The cat is used to trip over all my DVD's and the dog likes to bite them, so it has saved me a lot of movies.
Now I bought a game on DVD, and would like to backup it as well. DVD Shrink can't handle this kind of DVD's so I was wondering if there's some software that can help me in shinking this DVD to burn it on a 4,7GB disk.

I searched your forum but couldn't find it, so sorry if it somewhere in the forum already.
I hope you can help me.

Thanks,
Dirkjan

Look at the very first sticky in this forum. With games it's called rebuilding when you want to make them smaller.

It says I need cdvdgen to make this work but I cannot find one that works in WinXP. Or at least on my computer.
Anyway it are guides about rebuilding PS2 games, does this work with PC games too?

No it doesen't, PC games do not require rebuilding. If you intend on asking questions about PC games, then please post in the relevant forum.

If it's not about PS2 games, then why post in the PS2 section?

Well, he asked in the DVD+R forums about how to copy PS2 games because he was told to. Check this tutorial Dirkjan:

Actually i take that last thread back mik3h as yes it is in the wrong part of the forum but the method i posted in my tutorial should work with a PC game.
