When I try to burn some mp3s on a cd-r for an audio disc, it says that my disc is already full but when I open it in Winamp the song lengths are completely different than the song lengths shown on Nero.

Mp3 is a compressed audio file...cd audio is not...when u select to burn an audio cd the mp3 files are converted to regular audio (cdda) which is a much bigger file size..

u can burn an mp3 disc, they hold much more tracks (but ur cd player or whatever must support mp3 playback.
