are you sure your dvd writer is a dual layer burner.
seems like a stupid question but better to check
what model is your dvd writer ?

Yes, DVD-9 represents dual layer media.

@gus738..... the issue that Chiusa had was that his burner would not recognize his disk.....he was using a Dual Layer disk and his drive is not compatible with Dual Layer disks! that's why he couldn't do King Kong! The wrong media for his player. we all know that AnyDVD and CloneDVD will do the job! thanks for your input and welcome to AfterDAwn.

I'm not sure if I have the same problem. I was able to copy King Kong using DVDFab but when I came to shrink it, it kept saying I was missing one part or it was failing to open one part.

Did you purchase DVD-9 discs (Dual Layer) instead of DVD-5? It's easily distinguishable by the price, 9 discs are usually twice the price of 5.
