DVD Shrink Problem?

My friend is using DVD Shrink and after the movie has analysised, he then clicks on backup and Shrink Exits out. The movie in an older movie from 1989 so it should not have a protection on it. What would the problem be.....? he even tried running it through DVDFab Decrypter and after Shrink analysised it done the same thing.....?
