LG denotes Lucky Golstar
My experience with two LG drives is that you will be "lucky" if they fail while still under warranty. That is the only "lucky" thing I can think of, as the failure of my drives occurred after 13 mos and 15 mos.

There is a model DW1650 available which is almost the exact drive as the DW1655 .. except no LightScribe and costs less ...

The above information was taken from the CDRinfo site ... and they rated the BenA DW1655 the Editor's choice!

Benq 1640/1655 or 1650! Even the older 1620 is a hell of a burner. I've got 4,no 1655,but all of them all burning near perfection.

Best burner for the money!

If you get one,you can ditch the dash format media. Backing up the plus format media and booktyping them to dvd-rom:They will play in more drives than their dash backups.
