i have a ps2 slim and using swap magic 3.6. i have winning eleven 9 and wanted to test out how to obtain my valid disc id for the game in order to play my back up online.
3) Now that your PS2 game back-up image is made, you'll need to
download the Disc ID Utility V0.2A and burn it to a CDR as detailed
HERE. Once burned, load it using either the Memory Card Exploit, by
using your pressed (original) Swap Magic CD disc, or via soldered
PS2 mod-chip. Once the Disc ID Utility is loaded on your PS2 console,
follow these three steps and record (on paper) in this format the
Disc ID: XX:XX:XX:XX:XX that appears on your TV screen.
need some help. the link to the DISC ID utility v0.2a http://www.ps2nfo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=89 has several files for
disc id utility but every time i load my swap magic 3.6 and then load the burn .cue it reads that not valid ps2 disc.
not sure what i am doing wrong.
you're not supposed to burna .cue file as data, it should come with a .bin file which you burn as an image. Also, from what I know the disc ID utility doesn't work on slim ps2 but, I may be wrong on this.
"Image File 'C:\DVDIMAGE.ISO' (1 part, 2344Mb, 2048 bytes/sector).
The following files have been located for possible patching:-
DNAS300.IMG;1, IOPRP300.IMG;1,
'DNAS300.IMG;1' is being scanned... UN-PATCHED, unverified (Offset 0x0002AC1C).
'IOPRP300.IMG;1' is being scanned... No match found."
would i use the 0x0002AC1C?
my region reads: SLUS and Disk ID i placed xx xx 02 AC 1C
the first four digits i would make up as long as the last six are correct?
mdelar, like I said disc ID utility doesn't work on the slim ps2s it just gives you bad/wrong ids, and yes if you have the last six digits you can make up the first 4 digits but they have to be hex.
shauntay, I don't know how you get the dnas id after making an image of a game (unless you're making an image of a backup that's already been patched for dnas) 'cause from what I know, the dnas id is in a location where regular pc drive can't get to for reading and making an image of the game would miss that part.
