is it possible to play socom 3 online even if you have a modchip? i have the original game but i have a modchip installed on my ps2 and it isn't letting me log in. i heard that you have to turn off your modchip but i don't know how to do it on dms4 lite. i held the square button during boot up and everything but it brings me to the screen with a bunch of stuff.

yes, on that game you have to turn the chip off.
If it works the same as the DMS4 Pro then do this.
Hold down the L1 button on controller in port #1 when you start the PS2 and you should see the "disabled" message. Then put in your game and press reset to load the game. The chip will stay disabled until the system is turned off or placed in standby mode.

Other boot mode stuff, but i only have it for DMS4 Pro
