Hello All.

I just tried searching for threads related to this topic, but couldn't find any. I thought there were some already created, but I guess not.

Anyways, a few questions regarding this game...

1.) Is this a single-layer game (less than 4.7GB)??? Or greater than
4.7GB (like GT4)?
2.) Has anyone been successful in backing this up?
3.) If so, what's your method? DVD Decrypter (ISO read, then write)?
4.) Does it need rebuilding?

I just thought I'd see what others are doing for this game, I'm going to pick it up today... looks awesome.

Thanks,

Gregg

I have successfully made a backup copy of Tourist Trophy on PS2, and it works without any flaw... So i can answer all your questions for you...

1.) Is this a single-layer game (less than 4.7GB)? Or greater than 4.7GB (like GT4)?

Tourist Trophy is a single layer game, it is exatcly 2.79 GB's big...

2.) Has anyone been successful in backing this up?

Yes, I have sucessfully made a backup copy of this game...

3.) If so, what's your method? DVD Decrypter (ISO read, then write)?

I used the DVD Decrypter method, ISO read, then write...

4.) Does it need rebuilding?

No, it does not need rebuilding...

I wanted to say that I also made a backup of it and it works perfectly. Used DVD Decrypter, read the iso, then burnt it a 4x onto 8x TY DVD-rs.
Using Swap magic 3.6 it worked great.

I know this thread is for Tourist Trophy but was anyone ever able to successfully backup Gran Turismo 4 and if so, how did you do it?

try searching the posts, i am sure you will find plenty of guides on how to do GT4 as most people were doing that a year ago.
Yes, you can back it up one of two ways.
If you have a good modchip that can play DVD9 Back ups then just buy a DVD9 disc and copy it.

If not then find one of the many tutorials that will tell you how to shrink this down to DVD5

Or just search some torrent sites and download an already shrunk version, which i know is out there.
