Do you need a mod chip in order to play burned ps2 games?

You must have some form of modification to play backups, yes. Either swap magic - http://www.SwapMagic3.com

Or a modchip - http://www.modchipstore.com

not nesseseraly a modchip, but you do need either a mod chip or swap magic. I would recomend swap magic, but thats just me. lol, my name is swapking. You aren't stupid for asking, however I would recomend using the forum search option before posting. You may also buy the swap magic/ mod chip at http://www.divineo.com
