A lot of these tutorials are pc-based and i have no idea how to burn ps2 to dvd-r.
I have tried burning an .iso file to an Imation dvd-r using Toast and loading it using
action replay max, but thats about it.
Also, do i need to get this swap magic ting or can i just use action replay?
How do i burn-should I use Toast, disk utility or some other app.?

I've been using TOAST 7 for my PS2 games. Open toast 7, click on the copy tab and choose File, save as disc image and let toast save it as a .toast file. So, when I copied godfather, it saved it as GODFATHER.toast

Now, double click on that file, put in a DVD and hit record. I don't know anything about action replay, but with swap magic, it works perfect every time!

Look through this to find the closest location: http://www.swapmagic3.com/Swap_Magic_Where_To_Buy.asp

You should be able to get it for around $20. You will also need some other sort of mod, whether it is a slide card (fat PS2) or magic keys (slimline).

Last thing: Be sure to get rid of those Imation DVD's. They will cause more problems than you will know what to do with. Try some high quality media like Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, Sony or Philips.
