Hi to everyone

I burn a lot games with the media SONY DVD-R 1x-8x via DVD decrypter at 4x (low speed that the dvd decrypter let me) with out problem...but now i have sony DVD-R 1x-16x and the low speed that i can to burn its 6x ....why??? I burn 3 games at 6x and failed...i dont know what a need to do....

how i can force DVD Decrypter burn at 4x with a DVD-R 1x-16x??
or can i burn it at half speed...8x????

please any help is apreciated!!!

Try updating your burner's firmware or simply burn at half the maximum speed. However, many people have had problems with those 16x discs, I reccomend you get 8x DVD-R discs and burn at 4x.

If this fails, read the - Games stuttering and skipping or just not loading up? link in my signature.

do the discs actually say 1x-16x or just 16x?

Hmm, 1x/16x?

OK I burn my games with DVD Decrypter at 8x....(Half of 16x) ando all my games run perfect..!!! if you buy this great media don't burn at 6x...because the PS2 dont will recognize...burn at 8x and the game will run perfectcly!!

I just got some of the Sony 16x discs from a friend, and the package does say 1-16x, but I could only burn down to 4x. It all depends on your burner and the firmware you have in it.
