Ok how will I know if I have to do this before I make any backups.

Any game you can go online with has this probably right? Are there other games that you dont go online with that have it as well? Cause I thought looking at the list there were some there that didnt have online.

Anyways I was wondering this so that I wouldnt waste discs. I got swap disc combo coming soon and wanted to learn all I could before I go backing up my games.

About games with DNAS.... can I simply do this? Load up the image in winDIP and then enter the codes posted in threads here and then it adds that in or whatever? Or is there more to it than that.

Plus if the code for the game I want isnt there... like on another thread I gotta get a program and then take the codes from the original image and hten put them into that program right?

Thanks a lot.

Yes all you have to do is patch the image with windip with the correct DNAS id... works great for making backups of games you own..

to obtain a DNAS code from an original copy
by downloading the DVD DISC ID ULT

http://dnas.stoleyour.net/tools/DVD_Disc_ID_Utility.zip

burn that image to a DVD...
use swap magic to boot that...
then open your ps2 and take it out and put in the Original game...
press X a few times and the original DNAS code will appear..
if you want to share ur dnas id please remove the first 2 sets of numbers... like this for example..

XX XX 01 30 BC

srry for the delay in helping..

Thanks for the reply I think it will be very useful.

So if I take a DNAS code from the thread on here... where its XX XX I just put in random numbers or letters (hex) from what that said right... and this is so 2 people cant get on with the same id or whatever I take it right?

So you can use random numbers there or do I need to get the exact DNAS code from my original cd?

Thanks a lot.

You can use any random letters/numbers as long as it is A-F and/or 0-9.

Check my sig for a simple guide.

if that happens try using the search function as it would've answered all your questions. Also, for future reference bumping is not allowed on this forum.

NTSC DNAS threads.
