Well, i got dsl, and a linksys WRT54G router. Yes, i opened ports on both machines. It used to say "firewalled/NATed", but now it's green and saying "running normally." If i got DSL and it's downloading at 4kb/s? That's horrable. It jumps from 4kb/s to 0kb/s too.

try using utorrent buddy. It is alot faster, try using this guide I found also..If you do not like this one, just google for utorrent guides, there are a bunch.

If you've got DSL, it means your backbone is owned by a major provider (most likely)..., and they've probably throttled bandwidth on your port. Use a different one.

Try to stay above the 12000 port range. I use something in the 16000 range myself.

It could also be your torrent...does it have enough seeds to go fast?
