hey guyz
i was playing splinter cell 3 and the game freezes up to 10 seconds i dont know why. it work working very good before not just splinter cell also other games which use to work awesome . my pc is
Intel p4 2.8 GHZ
1gb of ram
256mb fx-5200 nvidia.
and thats it which is important.. please help me i did formated my windows but its still the same. is there somthing wrong with my graphic card or da ram?

Last time my game started freezing i updated my graphics driver and it was fine after that

oh i can try that but i just came to know that not only my games but also when i play movies it gets stuck for 2-3 seconds.

Have you tried closing some stuff in task manager?My old computer had almost the exact specs as yours p4,fx5200,only 768 ram not 1 gb.I had to close all programs and whatever in order to play battlefield 2 w/o any problems.
hit ctrl+alt+del(if ya didnt know)
at the top catoragize it by "user name"
find your name and close everything EXCEPT "explorer.exe","taskmngr" & whatever else it doesnt allow to close.Also have you checked for viruses/spyware?

thankx buddy thankx for ur help . it did helped me out i think the problem was with spyware docter 3.8 . just uninstalled it and installed spyware doctor 3.5 and it works perfectly alright..
