If I use NeroVision to burn to the image recorder, there is no sound when I play it in Showtime. That's annoying when I'm only want to use the Image recorder because I am not 100% positive the result will be good such as maybe the sound will be out of sync.

Anyone else play image recorder images ok in Showtime? I'm talking about the latest version/release of Nero.

I know you can play clips within NeroVision before burning but sometimes the audio is in sync in each clip but not on the DVDs after the clips have been merged together. Likewise its not reliable to play in the "create chapter" screen because it can play so jerkily, you can't tell if the sound is in sync.

Maybe everyone else knows, but I am a little lost when you say image recorder--I guess I haven't come across it yet, so could you explain what you mean?

If your sound is OK when testing in NeroVision 4 but not after the DVD is burned, I would think you are having a muxing (if that is the correct term) problem. What type of files are you putting together?

Please note, NeroVision 4.1.0.15 has given me problems and I have gone back to the 4.1.0.9 version. I was unable to edit MP4 files because they would freeze up. And .AVI files were jerky until I went to Export video, and clicked on configure and clicked on the tabs, then back to the video. I do not have to change any settings, but the .AVI files play smoothly when I go back to the timeline---really strange.

Image recorder is a destination option for burning DVDs in various Nero programs. It creates an NRG file on disk. You can burn an NRG file to DVD very quickly with Burning Rom so its the way to go anytime you plan to make multiple copies of a DVD you make with NeroVision or if you don't have the type of DVD burner needed on the PC you are running Nero on (eg. a DL image but no DL burner).

Like I said, its pretty annoying when Showtime plays the NRG without sound but if you copy that same NRG to a DVD, the sound is fine. A definete bug. I'm just curious if its a universal bug for everyone or just some NeroVision users.
