Ok... i know i can't be the only person who has this particular need.

I download tunes from Napster. Of course, after I get them, I'd like them to be mine. That is, I'd like to get them into a format (mp3) that is truly mine to do with as I please. So, my thought is to burn them to cd, then rip them to my hard drive. Time consuming I know, but worth it to me. Here's the problem. They are nearly always various songs, not a whole album - a compilation of several songs. I'd like to avoid having to type in all the info into my ripper. Napster does write the TOC on there, which I assume includes "album artist" and "album", not just "track" and "track artist". I know this because several ripping tools I've tried, pull of the album artist and album info from the first track on the disk.

Here's big question 1!!! Is there a ripper out there that will not only read the "track artist" and "track title" individually, but also the "album artist" and "album" for each track as well. Very frustrating to find my mp3 files mislabelled with wrong or no information. I've tried several popular ones and have been unable to get this to work.

Here's big question 2!!! I would like to have a player that uses very little system resources - i.e. simple, but has a decent way of organizing music. Media Player - nice organization, but system hog. JetAudio neither nice organization nor low system resource usage. Monkey whatever... hard to tell. Recommendations here!
