i got $50 to spend but the problem is that i dont know what games are out. Any body know of a good & long adventure game? I like games that have a interesting story and nice scenery. Also i hate games like final fantasy and pokemon where you don't actually fight your opponents, all you do is go on a menu and select your attack(BORING). Any suggestions?

Socom or Ghost Recon games, but be warned these are complicated!

Shadow of the Colossus if you haven't done it yet. And believe it or not, Ultimate Spiderman is incredibly fun. (not one of the ones based off the movies)

hmm i just got Kingdom Hearts II and im enjoying it, good game so far, but i fyou decide to do that, make sure you played and beaten the 1st one and if possible played KH:CoM.

thankx i'll try those games out. For anyone else some other hot games are marc ecko's getting up and ultimate spiderman. hepcat7, what is shadow of the colossus about? and can i play Kindom Hearts 2 with out playing 1? I dont like disney characters but it looks lik an interesting game, how is it?

Shadow of the Colossus' story is kept quite mysterious throughout the game, but without ruining anything it appears your character stole this sacred artifact, a sword and ran off to these forbidden lands, with hopes of having his loved one brought back to life. To do so, the higher being which he is asking the favor from, tells him he will do this only if you destroy the 16 Colossus in the lands. So basically the game scales this rather large world, but the bulk of the game is 16 boss battles which last quite a long time each (your first run through at least) because figuring out how to take down each Colossus is a puzzle, and unique. I suggest you check out some videos on gamespot. Yeah you can play KH2 without playing KH1 because they fill you in on a lot of what happened in the first game though flashbacks. There is probably a plot analysis for KH1 on gamefaqs.com if you're really interested though.

Get Incredible hulk:Ultimate destruction. U'll love it 'cos u can smash everything.
Also get The Punisher 'cos u get to kill a lot of baddies in a way that can only be described as gruesome

I know it might seem a little old now but Resident Evil 4 is an excellent game in my opinion. Well worth a look, and you can probably pick it up quite cheap now.

yeah, resi 4 was an alright game..got bored of it fast tho. yeah i ddint think id like Kingdom hearts cause of the disney characters either....but its actually pretty cool...they make me laugh...donalds like the "Up in your face" kinda guy...and Goofys just well...goofy :D
Oh and the Punisher is a pretty sweet game too....torture people to get some information outta them.....dunking their head in a barrel of acid, putting them in a cremator, thier head under a drill...ahh man the funness of that game.
I wanna start playing shadow of the collossus i heard it was good prom many people and review shows, X-play, Attack of the show, Reviews on the run, Electric Playground :D
that hulk game sounds pretty cool too.
And what about Ultimate Spiderman?? i heard it was waayy too short and easy to beat....my friend said he beat it in a night.

Phantasy Star Universe when it comes out
its a RPG... well MMORPG plus it has real time combat... like that of KH and so on.
Not sure when it will be out though.

if you like the Dungeons and Dragons sort of game Myst is a good series. I know they have Myst III Exile for Ps2
But it is mostly walking around puzzle solveing with and arrow you pint at things to interact with them or walk to certain place.
No view of the character you play.
All 3 prince of Pursia games are great, Tomb Raider Legends is suppose to be great with lots more puzzles then shooting. not sure if they make Call Of Cthulhu for PS2 but that is a great game.

I have been playing Black on ps2, this is a really good game i think. Story is kinda crap but that doesnt take away from the gameplay. Anybody here played both Black and Halo 2? Which do you think is better? I don't have an xbox so i can't comment

one good game its been out foor a while though is ninja gaiden black im not sure if its out 4 ps2, the acrobatics you do are preety cool and th story is preety easy to follow
