I dont think you would e able to do that. I am pretty sure you will need windows to run it. Also, how would you search for something? I personally would love something like wikipedia and wikidectionary on my 60g ipod, because my spelling sucks along with my vocab >< GOGO MATH!!!!
"or do u think they'll come out with a version in the future that will support the 5G?" I would think so. Although, are they charging for this? If they are charging i am sure they will, but if it is free they might not have the fundoing to overcome the problems that would have to be solved. (for example: how to search for things. No keyboard etc...) I am sure they would love to expand what the prgramm is compatible with, but being a non-profit organazation, they have to be careful where they direct there money. from what i remeber the yearly collection that they did (THIS IS NOT FOR SURE, THIS IS SOLOLY OF MEMORY OF LAST TIME I SAW THE BOX BEFORE IT CLOSED!!!!!!!!) ended with around 300,000 total money. This is 200,000 away from the 500,000 which they were trying to get. Plus dont forget the other sites they run (wikidictionary, wikimedia, wikiqoates, etc.... (most arnt spelt right, but you can find links to them at the bottum of wikipedia.com)) From doing simple math, (i dont have solid figures to work with, and this is also with out any "non-profit discounts" they could have it comes out to around 50,000. It isnt cheap running 12ish sites. And dont forget that wikipedia has given us the lugery of not have ads pop up in out face when we are trying to read about something immportant, or the sometimes VERY amusing "find true love" ads that are on the side of the screen. Wikipedia runs a very gret community site with devoted members! Wikipedia is one of my most respected site.
To get back to the point it can be done if you get a mini keyboard, one of those hand held wierd mouses, install windows on you ipod ><, o ya and get all the accesorys i named to go into a 6-pin wire.
If i were you i would just copy and paste the articles you wish to read onto the notes section (or something, i am sure there is an easy way) and just read it there.
O and by stay away from hacks, atleast intill warenty is out. If the store guy finds wikipedia on there, they will scream that is why it broke and not refund you.
Hoped this helped. Sorry about spelling >< its late and i want to go to bed so i am not running it through word to check everything. Hoped this helped. :)
By the way when an article from wikipedia "says u cant in the actual article " It usally means you cant. There are some cases like with games for instance, where it says you cant windows the screen, (because they dont want you on AIM, etc...) If you are good with DOS, you can pretty much force the game into a windows screen. I wouldnt though because game comanies normally dont like it when there rules are broken. ><
Anyways, if i am totaly wronge, (very possible, i am tired) post back and tell me how you did it. I could use wikidictionary on my ipod.
