Hey i got the Memorex 16x DVD+R's from BestBuy. Do you think they will burn ok with PS2 backups? Are DVD-R's better for compatiblity and is memorex a good brand?? Thank You!

Memorex is pretty bad for backups,and 16x discs have problems as well,try to use 8x DVD-Rs of a good brand(see the media thread for the list of good ones.)

Only use +Rs if you Burner can booktype them to DVD-ROM.
