How do I encode only the start of the movie till the start of the credit to make it 700MB using gordian knot? I would be using Xvid.

What about the trim options? What do they do?

Is there any other way besides manipulating scripts?

You can do this by using DVDShrink to make an ISO of the Main Movie only. Shrink allows you to pick the start and stop points for the movie. Then use decrypeter to rip the shrink ISO to IFO. Then use AutoGK to make whatever size XviD you want.
