HELP crossfading audio tracks in NERO 6 RELOADED

i am using nero 6 reloaded v 6.6.1.4 to burn a dj mix album that i have ripped (its in mulitpul mp3's). when i try to crossfade one track into another there is a slight pause when the next track starts. does anyone know how to get around this problem?

what is puzzeling me about this problem, is when i track/split a large mp3 file (eg 70mins dj mix) into smaller mp3's using the index, limits and splits function in nero. then crossfade the tracks together there is no problem (instant crossover with no pause). is this because the original track has been edited in nero, but when other seperate tracks from a album are used they are not?

can anyone help me get around this problem, or if not tell me the reason why? (i.e. is it something to do with copy protection for albums?)
