External BENQ DQ60 Dual Layer Burner Problems

Hello all I just bought an External BENQ DQ60 burner. Im using USB 2.0. My problem is that when I burn my data to a disc, I can only read that disk on my BENQ DVD RAM drive. My laptop's DVD ROM drive does not recognize it at all. I used NERO and selected the option to save the disc so that all DVD drives could read it. Ive tried this on 3 different disc's all with the same results.

BENQ customer service was rude to me and told me that they dont service external drives becuause it was meant ot be internal.

Any help would be appreciated as I dont know what to do. Thanks

What brand of discs are you using? What speed did you write at?

Can you post a burn log from Nero?
