Hi to all and a big thanks in advance if anyone can help
...the problem i am having is burning smackdown vs ra 2006 for the ps2..i have dvd decryptor,clone cd and alcohol 120%..i managed to burn it all the way with a dvd r n realised thanks to alot of reading about so i got hold of some dvd -r insteadand now it wont bur on any burning programe ...i used dvd decryptor to make the iso i made a folder on the desktop for it to go in like some have said to do,and in there i find two files,one being the iso and the other an mds which i have no clue to what that is,so i just did the iso write after the read with decryptor and it gets stuck after half way saying error with loads of numbers,i am donw to one disk left and scared to use it as it may happen again....i dont have any idea's and it's driving me bonkers...anyone could you pls helpn let me know what and how i am going very wrong

If your DVD - R cant work on your PC, it's because your DVD Drive can't write to DVD -R's, only to DVD+R's, that happened to me also. And if you are getting errors while trying to read the Smackdown Vs Raw 2006. IT's because the disk is scrathed or something.

hiya 3d,first ,thanks for the help it's very much appreciated.....i've managed to use DVD-RW,and the ones i've used the DVD-R work ok .welli mean they start toload so i kow i'm burning right ,i just can't understand why it's stopping the burn after 50% or so

If you are using Nero, there's a tool called Nero Info Tool. It'll tell you Optical Drives you have (CD/DVD) and what it can read and write along with other valuable info such as the firmware version and more. Hope this helps you.

yes, after doing this, look on the web for firmware for your burner
Just type the brand and model number folled by firmware and do a search.....like Sony DRU700A Firmware
updated firmware can help a lot with media compatibility
