I am looking to make a backup of GTA SA for my playstation 2. Now after I have copied the files to my computer and then burned them to a DVD-r it wont play in my PS2, Why?

because you need a modchip or swap magic to play backups.

Wow, read the FAQs or tutorials to get your started. Before you started burning games you should have known why they wont work in the ps2 without a modchip or swap magic. super noob...

swap magic is a boot disc, it lets you boots backups.

Yeah... read up on swapmagic.

Also, I always wondered, are swapmagic dvd's the same format as a legit ps2 game, is ps2 protection cracked!?!, has someone from the offical $ony association copy those??

I know I'm along the lines!
