hey i got my ps2 modded with a matrix mod chip today. It works perfect psx originals work/ps2 original and burnt works. I downloading naruto game from internet and i see many win rar files which has the same name. I know i have to chose the first one and extract it. Once i have done that i recieved 1 iso file. I used nero and burnt it to my dvd+rw maxell cd at 2.4x. The game itself is about 1.5 gb. I put it in my ps2 and it says load a ps2 or psx compatible disk (red screen).

What am i doing wrong i have a soul calibour 3 backup that works perfect....

Search around for a program called "DVD Decrypter"

(Links can't be given out, I'm sadly sorry")

But if you are happy with the program you are using, you may want to make sure you are using the right type of DVD (+/-)

And if that speed doesn't work, try 1.0/half the maximum DVD write speed is.

Also, check the Matrix options.

Good luck!

RWs dont work well(and usually not at all) for backups.(And even if it does work its terrible for your laser).

Good some good 8x -Rs

Go for Taiyo Yuden theres a disc quality scan in my profile to prove just how darn good they actually are, I'v burned over 150 DVD's (mixture of DVD's, PS2 and XBOX) on Taiyo Yuden and not one of them have resulted in a coaster.

PS I find that Nero for me produces burns 4 times better quality than that of DVDDecryptor

Yes RW format is very hit and miss for PS2's go for decent -R format or if your burner has booktyping capabilities go for + format.

Just think of Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, DVD-R, DVD+R as Heinz ketchup

And Memorex, Datawrite, DVD-RW, DVD+R as smartprice ketchup.

Me personally I will only use Heinz as it is the DADDY!
