Do i NEED windows media connect? next if, i do, what is that? program or entire different PC?

to stream video you need the windows media centre 2005 edition operating system. Windows connect only allows you to stream pictures and music.

Windows Media Center 2005 is not a free prog. it is an operating system. I chose to have it installed on my laptop when I bought it. My guess is that some software stores will have it, but it will cost you.

Hi, Ok so you need media centre but what I want to know is what types of video file can I stream? What I want to do is rip all my DVD's to the PC hard disk then view them from the 360. I know its possible for content recorded via the media centre (TV shows) but what about other file types.

Hi,
i want to stream video and audio from my home pc to my works pc, do i have to have Windows MCE installed on both pc's or just the one that the files are on?
