Tomb Raider Legend England Snake Boss help

I'm up to the snake boss in England and I can't kill him because one of the levers don't work I pull it and the cage does not come down.

The one that doesn't come down is the cloest left (looking towards the water). The other three work.

does any one know how to make the lever work or even how to restart the current level because I'm really stuck.

I found what the proplem is it's a glitch and they only way get around it is to restart the whole game or if you have already finished the stage to restart that stage.

The glitch happens if you use one of the snake boss levers before the snake battle which played around with to see what they do.

So anybody playing this for the first time don't play around with the lever or it will glitch.
