alright i did the whole ps2 modding thing but never bother to really do it with the XBOX so i was wondering whats the best modding method softmods or hard mods and whats the best chip for the xbox xcecuter,xenium etc.....? the mfg date on the xbox is 2002

softmodding is easy and quick but has a lot of holes and gaps that people tend to mess up which then requires a fix with either hotswapping or buying a chip in the end,i would recommend installing a chip the xecuter 3 is a great chip probably the best one out the new smartxx v3 is good but still has a few bugs also the xeniums are good chips but the xecuter is the beset.....

Too right!!..Xecuter3 all the way..Don't know why any sites still sell the 2.6..or the others..X3 no contest..

i have the xecuter2 bought it three weeks ago i put it in everything was fine but doesn't come with dashboard...and that it's been my problem find a dashboar(unleash,evox...)i'm going to get a new one with dashboard on it i think xenium has it.
If you now about this kind of things(not me as you can see) go fo it...

Ok to get a dashboard you need an autoinstaller disk..the best one IMHO is slayers 2.6 have a look round some torrent sites, most seem to have it..

Also the bones x disk is excellent as is the xbox360hackers installer..

I have 3 xecuter 2.6 chips and while they are ok they seem very limited compared to the small amount of extra for the x3..The xenium chip isn't very good..best avoided..you still have the same problem with that..pm me if you want some in-depth help..

The Auto installer Disc 3.5 is best,better than the slayers one it has all the dash's you need and improved menu's and compatability....

I just think slayers is more "user friendly".. Who's release of the autoinstaller do you mean.(pirata..360hackers etc).the one or two I saw had too many options..far too confusing for a n00b..I'm maybe a bit old fashioned and a bit conservative but I think you still can't beat slayers 2.5 for n00bfriendliness..It's the one I supply with a chipping job for a first-timer..

I'm really happy to have a discussion of the installers because there aren't many places we can..

i dunno i guess i just understand things pretty well the slayers disc kind of lacks what the Auto Installer Deluxe has which is everything lol...but your right for a noob the slayers would be a better choice.....
