Burned sonic riders at 4x, 8x on a taiyo yuden 8x and it most of the time it takes long to load and also freezes.

On Genji it only freezes sometime on the cutscenes

Can someone please tell me whats wrong if anybody got any ideas why please tell me THANKS.

What modchip are you using? Check the settings. That's all I can see that may be the issue.

i had that problem i found the mr dvd discs seem to work well at the 4x speed but been told to get some verbatims discs

post up the media ID code on your blank DVD's
That way you someone can tell you if they are genuin TY DVD's
If they are they should be golden as they are said to be the
very best out there.
Sometimes rebuilding a game can help
4X should be a correct speed on an 8X DVD, but you can always try slowing it down and see if that helps.

No, TYG02 is not a fake. That's actually what I use and I've yet to have a problem with any game. Haven't tried Sonic Riders, but played Genji: DOS and it worked like a charm.

Like i_suck said, have you tried cleaning your laser? If that doesn't work, there is always the option of adjusting your laser (bit more trickier).
