i always here run dvd shrink in the back ground runy anydvd in the back ground what does that mean just run the program while iam using another. the reason is I am having trouble cpying the newer movies and all disney movies for my kids can some one help me thanks alot sign Jason
AnyDVD runs in the background, but not DVD Shrink.
When you install AnyDVD, you should have a red fox in your tray, in the lower right corner. If the fox is grey, right click on it, and click on "enable AnyDVD". Once the fox is red, you don't do anything else with AnyDVD. You run DVD Shrink like you normally would.
When you put the original movie disc in your drive, AnyDVD automatically reads it, and bypasses the copy protection, so you can copy the movie to the HD and burn it.
Also, when you right click the fox, make sure that Autostart is checked too, so AnyDVD always starts, when you boot up your computer. Otherwise, you'll have to enable it manually everytime you boot up.
This is what "Running in the background" means.
Once it's installed, you don't need to do anything else with it.

It is strongly recommended that you don't do anything else on the computer, while a movie is being copied.
