Copying saved items from a HD to a PC.

I need to know how to copy saved items from a xbox 360 hard drive to a pc or a usb device. The instructions that came with my hard drive tell me that I can do this. Yet when I try to do it it only gives me the option to copy it to my memory card. Any help would be great.

Hope this answers your question. Microsoft left the posibility open but apparently they are not willing to offer first party hardware to back it up.
