I need to know the precise button presses to get the game screen displaying correctly on an NTSC television. From the start menu, I can see the options screen, but can't pinpoint where the selector is for this task. Can anybody help?

Got enough of the flicker removed by plugging my ps2 through my comps tv tuner card/proggy. Managed to fly right. Here's the directions>

I using a swap magic dvd 2.0, this game requires dvd loader to work (at least my version does). Use the v5.03 NO PN option, which is the usual for dvd loader games.

You can skip the opening movie, or let it run. :P But since we can't see it, I suggest skipping it by pressing start once.

You will head to the main menu "Press Start button to begin"

After pressing start, the game will briefly check the memory card.
After that, you'll enter the main menu.

Press down on the d-pad 3 times. Press X once.

Press down on the d-pad once. Press X once.

Press up on the d-pad once. Press right on the D-pad once. Press X once.


Things should appear just fine now. Hit yes (up once, x once), then you're set to configure the rest of the game options to your liking.

you need to upgrade to Swap Magic 3.0 or above and then you will be able to select the screen mode on it. And won't have to worry about ever using DVD Loader again, well except if you want to run your back ups with cheats.

I don't get what you mean about running backups with cheats only if using dvdloader. ???

For the rest of my backups, I use gameshark and xploder codes (for PAL games). -_- Rarely do I find any working gameshark codes for japanese games.
